Just as an erratically behaved Elon Musk took the stage at a conservative conference in Washington, D.C., his ex-girlfriend Grimes was begging him on X to address an urgent medical crisis involving one of their three children.
The Canadian musician, 36, called out the DOGE chief, 53, Thursday afternoon in now-deleted posts on X.
“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis,” she wrote under one of Musk’s posts. “I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention. If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.”
In another post, Grimes declined to provide further details but said Musk wasn’t responding to texts, calls, or emails and had “skipped every meeting.”
“Our child will suffer lifelong impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f–king respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at,” she said.
It was not immediately clear which child she was referring to. The couple shares three children: four-year-old X, three-year-old Exa Dark Sideræl, and two-year-old Techno Mechanicus.
Grimes deleted her posts about an hour later as X users noted that the pleas weren’t appearing on their feeds, and that her profile was seemingly no longer showing up via the site’s search function.
“If they’re being shadow banned and not eliciting a response then all it is is a media circus at the expense of the kids,” she wrote.
As his baby mama waited for a response, Musk appeared at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington D.C.
The world’s richest man sat onstage wearing sunglasses and a black “Make America Great Again” for a wide-ranging interview that covered everything from controversial cuts made by his Department of Government Efficiency (DOG) to Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Musk appeared erratic, at times struggling to form coherent sentences. X users were quick to pile on the billionaire, with some speculating whether he had taken drugs before coming onstage. “Ketamine,” a drug Musk has publicly admitted to taking in the past, quickly began trending on X, as did “Grimes.”
Musk’s interview concluded with him waving around a “chainsaw for bureaucracy” handed to him by Argentine President Javier Milei.
This is not the first time Grimes and Musk’s family business was aired publicly.
Last week, Grimes criticized Musk for bringing X to a press conference with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
