The new film does not feature the cast of Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), or the stars of the Jurassic Park trilogy, Jurassic Park (1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), and Jurassic Park III (2001).
“The script is amazing. David Koepp is so passionate about dinosaurs. He’s coming back 30 years after writing Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park directed by Steven Spielberg,” Scarlett Johansson said in an interview with ComicBook .
Johansson said she was a “huge fan of Jurassic Park “. “It was one of the first movies I saw in the theater. It was so vivid and it changed my life. I can’t express how excited I am,” the actress shared.
The Black Widow star said she’s been trying to join the “Jurassic World universe” since the film was rebooted in the 2010s as Jurassic World .
Steven Spielberg is executive producing the new Jurassic World movie. Other actors joining Scarlett Johansson include Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise… The movie is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2025.
